Lake Sarangan is located in boundary of East and Central Java. In the west of Magetan regency (East Java), 16km from Magetan ( Surabaya-Magetan 193km).

Tourism activities related to the lake and mountain are usually boating in the lake, horse riding and fishing ect. Lake Sarangan is approximately 1200 m above the sea level, is in the slope of mount Lawu.
